Tampa Museum of Art names Seth D. Pevnick curator - Pittsburgh Business Times:

Pevnick is joining TMA from the at the Getty Vill ain Malibu, Calif. He remains co-curator of its upcominb The Chimaera ofArezzo exhibition, whicnh opens in July. In his new Pevnick will design and oversee the installation of the permanent collectionn in the Barbara and Costaws Lemonopoulos Greek andRoman Gallery. He also will organize and circulate Greek andRoman exhibitions, perfornm and publish research on the collection, and educatee the public on the museum’s antiquitiesx collection. Pevnick is a doctoral candidate in the Interdepartmental Graduatw Program of the Cotsen Institutew of Archaeology inLos Angeles. He received a mastetr of arts degree in archaeology at U.C.
, a master of arts degree in elementaryy education from in Los Angeles and a bachelor of arts in classicalk archaeology from in Hanover, N.H., a releasr from TMA said. TMA’s new locationj remains under construction at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park indowntowh Tampa. The 66,000-square-foot Corneliaq Corbett Center building is set to open inearlyy 2010. TMA’s interim facility is located onHowarcd Avenue.
